Our candles are handcrafted from natural wax and may contain dried herbs, flowers, or other botanical materials. Because these are natural combustible elements, botanical candles behave differently from standard paraffin candles and require additional care during use.
Natural Burning Characteristics
• Botanical elements: Dried herbs or plant pieces may ignite, crackle, or pop during burning. This is a natural characteristic of botanical candles.
• Small temporary flare ups may occur and require active user supervision.
• Flame variation: In some cases, a botanical element may briefly intensify the flame or heat output. If the flame becomes unusually high or unstable, extinguish the candle immediately and allow it to cool.
• Natural wax: Natural wax may burn efficiently and can leave minimal waxresidue.
• Burning behavior may vary depending on environmental conditions, wick position, and natural botanical placement& Continuous supervision is required throughout use.
These characteristics are inherent to candles made with natural wax and botanical materials and do not indicate a manufacturing defect.
Dripping & Surface Protection (Important)
• Increased wax flow: Candles containing herbs may release larger amounts of melted wax as they burn.
• Important: Botanical candles may release more melted wax than standard candles. Surface protection is essential.
• Proper base required: Always place these candles on a wide, stable, heat-resistant surface such as a stone, ceramic, or metal tray. Small or narrow holders are not sufficient.
• Surface protection: Melted wax and heat may damage furniture, countertops, or finishes. Always use an additional non-flammable protective layer (for example, a heat-resistant mat or foil barrier) beneath the candle.
• Use on delicate, antique, or unprotected surfaces is strongly discouraged
Damage to surfaces caused by heat or melted wax is a known risk of candle use and is the responsibility of the user.
Smoke, Crackling & Wax Pool Care
• Crackling sounds, visible smoke, or small flare-ups may occur due to botanical materials and are considered normal.
• If smoke becomes excessive or the flame appears unstable, extinguish the candle using a candle snuffer. Never use water to extinguish a candle.
• Keep the wax pool free of large, burned botanical fragments to maintain a controlled burn.
Usage Environment
• Indoor Use Only.
• Burn candles only in well-ventilated, draft-free indoor spaces.
• Ensure the candle is placed on a perfectly level surface to promote even melting and reduce excessive wax runoff.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
